In the last two years, barre classes have definitely taken the world by storm. It currently boasts a huge celebrity fan base including the likes of Madonna and the Victoria’s Secret Angels, and we believe barre is firmly here to stay. Locally, WeBarre opened its doors in January 2016 and is Singapore’s first and leading barre studio.
WeBarre is the brainchild of co-founders Anabel Chew and Linda Tang. In a short span of just over two years, they’ve since expanded to three beautiful studio locations where 130+ classes are taught weekly. WeBarre workouts bring together a mix of ballet, yoga, pilates and strength training, and are all carefully choreographed to the beat of catchy music. Certain classes are also themed (think ’80s disco music, K-pop playlists or Disney soundtracks) for an extra dose of fun!

For those looking to shape and tone, there is the Fundamentals class, a dynamic cardio-flow in the WeBarre Signature Multi-Level style. Feeling a bit tight in the muscles? Try the WeBarre Stretch & Technique class. And if you’re a boot camp junkie, WeBarre HIIT is perfect for you!

The barre burn doesn’t discriminate. No matter your fitness level, every WeBarre class still promises to challenge and push you. “I still remember the time my sister and I took our first barre class,” says Karylan Lee who has been a WeBarre member for a year. “We literally couldn’t even sit down after class despite having a ballet and yoga background. It felt as though we left our legs behind and forgot to take them home!”
